According to Mining News Pro - Morteza Yazdkhasti, CEO of Saba Steel Company said that considering the actions and changes in the company, we faced a production leap between 15 to 20 percent in the first two months.

“As the first producer of HBI in Iran, we succeeded to be among the major supplier of Iran’s major steel maker, Mobarakeh Steel Company (MSC), although we are suffering from sanctions,” he explained.

“However, due to the outbreak of the coronavirus, we faced problems such a reduction in workforce but due to the hard working of our workers and staff we increased the rate of output.”

“According to a contract inked between MSC and Saba Steel, we started to supply HBI in the last months of Last year, meanwhile there was a remarkable lack of pellet and DRI in the market,” Yazdkhasti said.

Saba Steel Company’s HBI is used for domestic supply chain of Iran’s major steelmaking companies like MSC.
