Mining News Pro - Chairman of Ministry of Mine, Industry, and Trade of Tabas: Ferrosilicon-Aluminum plant will be inaugurated by foreign investment.
According to Mining News Pro - “Minerals like aluminum exists in coal and according to the scheme provided by the foreign investor, the aluminum element is extracted and after being combined with other elements, becomes a kind of alloy called ferrosilicon-aluminum. The main raw material of this plant is coal waste, which exists in the country, and this causes investor interest”, Zarenia said.
He mentioned that this plant is capable of producing 108 thousand tons of ferrosilicon-aluminum and said: “The investors are from Germany, Kazakhstan, and China. Also, Factory furnaces are made overseas and ready for carriage to the country.”
Zarenia said that the foreign investment is 50 million euros.
Chairman of Ministry of Mine, Industry, and Trade of Tabas said that another important issue for the implementation of the plant is the supply of 150 megawatts in the first phase.
