Canadian Gold Miner discovers new zone south of Kirkland Lake
Mining News Pro - Sudbury, Ont.-based Canadian Gold Miner has discovered a new gold zone – dubbed Behold zone – approximately 10 km south of the town of Kirkland Lake.
  Zoom:

According to Mining News Pro - The zone lies on the northwest edge of an 800-metre long induced polarization anomaly that occurs within a favourable structure and alteration corridor traced for more than 1.5 km.

Channel sampling at the Behold zone late last year returned assays as high as 8.6 g/t gold over 0.30 metre and 5.42 g/t over 0.67 metre. The zone is situated 800 metres northwest of any previously known mineralization and 300 metres north of the Lincoln Nipissing Break.

The break hosts numerous mineralized zones, shafts, pits and underground workings within the South Kirkland property. Canadian Gold believes the area has the potential for intrusion hosted gold deposits similar to the existing Young Davidson and Canadian Malartic gold mines.

Canadian Gold Miner is owned 38% by Transition Metals, 19% by Osisko Mining and 5% by Centerra Gold.
