Mining News Pro - Alcoa cut its prediction of global aluminum demand due to China-US trade.
According to Mining News Pro -Due to the US-China trade war and the escalation of the war, which are the two main countries of aluminum consumers in the world, Alcoa Alcoa has reduced its forecast of aluminum demand in China, which will also affect global markets.
Alcoa estimates that global demand for aluminum will grow from 3.75 to 4.75 percent, while it was previously estimated that the world`s aluminum demand growth would be 4.25 percent to 5.25 percent.
The global aluminum supply gap is estimated to be about 1.4 million tons in 2018, while the previous forecast was 1.1 to 1.5 million tons.
Alumina`s global supply gap is expected to reach 400,000 to 1.2 million tons, while in the foreseeable prediction of 200,000 to 1 million tons.
