Mining News Pro - Rusal, one of Russia`s top aluminum producers, which was subject to US sanctions in April, was up 498% in June.
Rusal is the world`s largest aluminum producer, who claimed to be Washington and responded to Russia`s involvement in the US election on a blacklist in the United States, according to Mine News.
Rusal is trying to persuade the Treasury Department to cancel the sanctions, otherwise its US customers should cut off business with Rusal after October 23rd.
At the same time, according to the Russian railways data, the carriage of aluminum shipments continues, so that in June 294 thousand tons of aluminum were loaded and shipped.
Aluminum exports reached 1 million 270 thousand tons between January and June, down 9 percent from the same period last year.
Rusal has sold 3 million and 950 thousand tons of aluminum last year, 42 percent of which was in Europe.
