Chairman of IMIDRO`s Executive Board : Exploiting the Iranian Steel by the end of the year

Mehdi Karbasiyan added: "Over the past few years, steel production capacity has risen from 21 million tons a year to 32 million tons, targeting 55 million tons."

He emphasized on the investment of the Pasargad Bank and the allocation of credits for mineral development in the country, adding: Pasargad Bank has spent resources on increasing value added and employment by allocating funds to MIDHCO.

He said the target of 22 trillion Toman in investment in the MIDHCO Kerman province has been chosen in the past years, which has already reached 18 trillion tomans of this credit.

Deputy Minister of Industry, Mining and Commerce added: Iran has more than 3 billion tons of iron ore reserves and should use this mineral capacity to develop the country.
He added: Over the past two years, 500 million tons have been added to the country`s iron ore reserves.
He said coal reserves in Kerman and southern Khorasan are huge and there is not enough investment in this area.

Karbasiyan added: Iran`s Zarand Steel Complex project produces 1.7 million tons of steel and three million tons of coal is needed for this complex, which should increase the country`s coal production capacity by constructing this plant.
Pointing out that the Zarand Iranian Steel project will be exploited by the end of this year, which is very valuable, he said: MIDHCO holding company in 2014 has given Khamrood coal mine in line with government policies.

Deputy Minister of Industry, Mining and Commerce added: Khamrood mine supplies thirty-five percent physical progress, and two thousand and one hundred meters of tunnel has been excavated, and this complex should be put into operation soon enough to meet the needs of the Zarand Steel Plant Slowly.
He said that the supply of coal and the help of the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade and private sector will be provided by the factories of the country.

He said that the Jalalabad Iron Ore Mine from IMIDRO, with a distance of 14 kilometers from the railway, will provide iron ore, and soon the bugs of the mine will be resolved.
He added: "There are currently 4,500 people in the Zarand Iran Steel Company.

Karbassian said: "Water is the most critical problem in the country, and water problems exist in Kerman province, and wastewater utilization is one of the main strategies of the province`s industry and mining, and this problem has been resolved in the Zarand Steel Company of Iranians.
He also said that taking water from farmers to the industry would solve the problem of employment.
