China Copper Scrap imports tumble 38.5% y/y in Jan-April
Mining News Agency -Chinese Copper Scrap imports has tumbled 38.5 percent year-on-year to 740,000 tons during the first four months of this year, according to the latest data from the General Administrations of Customs showed on Wednesday.

Mining News -China has only imported 180,000 tons of copper scrap during the month of April, fell 36.7 percent from April 2017.

Chinese metal scrap imports dropped by nearly 36 percent year-on-year to 440,000 tons during April this year. The scrap metal imports were down 31 percent year-on-year at 1.94 million tons during January to April this year.

China has slapped a 25% import tariff on aluminium scrap from the United States, its largest supplier of the material, with effect from April 02.

China, for the second month in a row, imported zero waste plastic in April. China Jan-April waste plastic imports were down 99.5 percent year on year at 10,000 tons.
